Electrocoagulation System Principle

Fe → Fe²⁺ + 2e

2OH⁻ → 2[O] + 2e → O₂ + 2e

2H⁺ + 2e → 2[H] → H₂

The electrochemical process generates nascent oxygen with strong oxidation capabilities similar to UV, H₂O₂, and O₃. Simultaneously, nascent hydrogen breaks chemical bonds, reduces COD, and degrades chromophore functional groups. These oxidation and reduction reactions continuously occur on the electrode plates.
