DAF System Introduction

Dissolved Air Flotation is a water treatment process that clarifies wastewaters by removing suspended matter such as oil or solids. The process involves dissolving air in the water under pressure and releasing it at atmospheric pressure in a flotation tank, creating tiny bubbles that adhere to suspended particles and float them to the surface for removal.

Dissolved Air Flotation Working Process

The wastewater treatment process begins in the coagulation reaction tank (RT1) and flocculation reaction tank (RT2) where chemicals (PAC and PAM) form flocs with contaminants. The water then enters the DAF tank where microbubbles attach to flocs, causing them to float to the surface as scum, which is removed by skimming. Clean water collects at the bottom for discharge or further processing.
